Basic Services Provided

    Preventative Health Care: The A.V.M.A (American Veterinary Medical Association) endorses 2 veterinarian visits per year for companion animals - one for urinalysis and bloods work and one visit for vaccines. The visit frequency is suggested due to the rate at which our pets age. Pets age an aveage of 7 years for each 1 human year. Your pet's health can change quickly over a one year period, making it more difficult to prevent, detect and treat conditions early. Ensure your pet's health and your peace of mind by scheduling your pet for semi-annual visits.

     

     

     

    Pet Health Insurance

    Insurance is a great benefit to many Americans. It helps pay the costs of doctor visits, medical tests, hospital stays, prescription drugs, and emergency room visits.     More extensive lab work is sent out with a turn-around time of 24-48 hours.

     

     

    Surgical Services
    Veterinarians at the Martinez Animal Hospital perform routine surgeries. Pre-anesthetic blood work, safe, state of the art anesthetic agents and anesthetic monitoring devices are used to maximize your pet's safety. For specialty surgeries we have a board certified surgeon available to perform these procedures at our hospital.
     
    Microchipping System
    This safe, permanent identification is provided by a tiny microchip programed with a unique un-alterable code that can be identified by hand held scanner. Animal control officers, animal shelters and veterinarians across the country have scanners capable of reading the microchip.
    Boarding Services
    Martinez Animal Hospital has facilities to board cats. Space is limited. Please call in advance to make arrangements. Boarders must be current on vaccinations and have had an examination by our veterinarians within the past year.
     
    Cat Adoption
    Martinez Animal Hospital is commited to finding all animals a loving home. We regularly have kittens who are in need of a caring family.  See adoption tab for full details.
